The Sherwood is one of the most versatile cabbages you can find. It's a delicious hybrid with solid, dark green heads and a short internal core. The Sherwood’s superbly sweet flavour is unparallel among other varieties. It will crop from August through to October with an excellent holding ability.

Ball head. Produces round, quality ballheads that weigh approx. 1kg/2.2lbs. Heads have a short core with an excellent sweet flavour. Tolerance to alternaria and other leaf spot diseases. Holds well in the garden until required.

Growing / Sowing: Sow outdoors, March-June, 1.5cm (½”) deep, in a seedbed or trays of seed compost. Keep moist. Transplant to their final position when plants are large enough to handle. Allow 60cm (2’) each way, between plants. Water well until established. Or, indoors, February-March, in trays or pots of seed compost. Keep moist. Suitable for the vegetable garden, allotments and containers.
Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
