Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Sweeter, milder flavor, with inviting gold color.

HEIRLOOM. A color breakthrough! When we introduced this savory golden beet in the 1940's, it won over gardeners who wanted a beet with a sweeter, milder flavor. Others just loved the inviting gold color. Globes reach 2" across. 55 days to harvest.

SOW OUTDOORS - March-August thinly, direct into the required harvest position, 1in (2½cm) deep in rows 12in (30cm) apart.  Keep soil moist at all times to prevent roots from becoming dry and woody.

GROW ON - Thin seedlings to 4in (10cm) apart. For baby beets, thin to 2in (5cm) 

TIP - Use thinnings as baby leaf. Use fleece to protect crop from frost or cold wind. Twist off the tops to prevent "bleeding".
