Lobelia Fountains Formula Mix Flower Seeds

Lobelia (Trailing), Fountains Formula  is popular as a border plant in beds, window boxes, containers and pots with a dazzling, mix of colured flowers includes pendula Sapphire! on trailing growth, ideal for growing over low walls or in tubs and hanging baskets.

Best grown as a HHA - Half hardy annual. Compact plants covered with tiny flowers throughout the summer, usually grown as edging for beds and borders, often with alyssum.

Provides 30 cm long stems covered by a mass of tiny flowers in a wide range of colors including white, pink, blue and purple.

Ideal in the sun or a little shade.

Culture: Sow January-April under glass in gentle heat. Flowers July-September.

Sow thinly into pots or trays in a good compost under glass at 21-24 ° C. Cover the fine seeds very thinly.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick off into trays in groups of 4 or 5, 5cm (2") apart. Grow on and gradually harden off before planting in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart.

Feed and water lobelia plants frequently throughout the summer to promote an endless supply of delicate lobelia flowers. 

Suitable for the garden, allotments and containers.

Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
