Beetroot Boston seeds are ideal for early sowing due to its resistance to bolting. This variety also makes a really worthwhile autumn crop and this variety is one of the very best. Pull them young as baby beets. They make a wonderful autumn salad addition or served warm with a white sauce.

Direct sow beetroot seeds outdoors from March to August in a weed free, sunny position in fertile, light, well drained soil. Sow beetroot seeds thinly in shallow drills at a depth of 3cm (1") and 30cm (12") apart. Germination will usually take 12 to 24 days. When large enough to handle, thin out the seedlings within each row to 10cm (4") apart.

Suitable for the vegetable garden, allotments and containers.

Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
