PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING ORDERS!

Unfortunately, due to an unusually high volume of orders, coupled with a COVID-19 restrictions and a significant number of staff isolating and the need for social distancing in our warehouse and the need for some staff to isolate,

Sweetcorn ?Earlibird? is an early season Super Sweet variety. This variety grows well in the UK climate and produces high quality cobs 20cm long, with 16 rows of small sweet grains. The cobs are harvested early in August.

Sow seeds April to May 4cm (1.5 inches) deep in 7.5cm (3 inch) pots of free draining compost. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and place at 18-20C (64-68F) until after germination which takes 7 to 10 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. Seeds can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed, sow 2 seeds 5cm (2 inches) deep, 23cm (9 inches) apart, and in rows 45cm (18 inches) apart. Thin out to the strongest seedling.
Gradually acclimatise indoor grown plants to outdoor conditions for a few days before planting out after all risk of frost.

Suitable for the vegetable garden, allotments and containers.

Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
