Plug Plant Count: 2
We are offering Two (2) Courgette Parador F1 plug plants ready for potting on and growing on in frost free greenhouse or on sunny windowsill ready for planting out as soon as last frosts have passed
An excellent golden yellow Courgette producing cylindrical courgettes with a superb flavour. Courgette 'Parador' is an early maturing high yielding variety which will crop prolifically throughout summer with regular picking. Easy to see and pick and look fantastic on the plate.
The use of courgette flowers is popular in many restaurants, and this variety can be harvested with the flower on, or the flower can be detached and used separately.
The courgette crop has recently benefited from the increased interest in gourmet cooking. Courgette flowers and yellow fruited varieties also fulfill a specialist demand from the restaurant market, while recently introduced top quality round courgettes add extra interest. Very prolific, cost-effective croppers. Can be grown early or late under glass to extend the season, when there is a price premium.
Incorporate plenty of organic matter to feed the plant and help retain water. Keep well watered. Can also be grown in greenhouse soil provided it is very fertile and they are well watered or even in gro-bags or containers.
When plug plants arrive transplant into individual 7.5cm (3") pots of compost and grow on at a minimum temperature of 15C (59F).
When plants are well grown, transplant into baskets and containers. If the plant is suited for growing outdoors when all risk of frost has passed gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 - 10 days before positioning baskets outdoors in a sheltered position in full sun once all frost risk has passed.
Suitable for the vegetable garden, allotments and containers.
Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
