We are offering Three (3) Apache Chilli Pepper plug plants ready for potting on and growing on in frost free greenhouse or on sunny windowsill ready for planting out as soon as last frosts have passed
Apache is a compact branching Chilli that has a very attractive habit. Apache produces a heavy crop of 2-3inch green peppers that mature to bright red all over the plant. The relaxed habit makes it a very attractive plant in the garden. The fruits are quite pungent measuring 80,000shu (Scoville heat units) which is a little less than a habanero type.
Apache, with its compact habit, is ideal for pots and containers as well as on a warm sunny windowsill. Traditional Chilli plants are usually tall and top heavy requiring staking and protection from even light wind. Apache remains compact and only requires a little support - in fact, a mixed container with some complimentary flowers will be sufficient.
Transplant plug plants as soon as they arrive taking care when handling them potting into 7.5cm (3in) pots.
Plant in the greenhouse in individual large pots, or 3 plants per growbag when 20cm (8in) high.
Can be planted outdoors, 45cm (18in) apart once all frost risk has passed
Suitable for the vegetable garden, allotments and containers.
Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
