Lobelia String of Pearls is the perfect filler plant for pots, planters and tubs, or even large scale border plantings. It's mix of pale blue, purples, pink and whites, plastered with hundreds if not thousands of flowers, creates a lovely frothy and delicate contrast to larger flowered petunias and geraniums. It is ideal for borders, beds or patio containers.

It will grow to 25-30cm in height. Plant 20cm apart in a sunny position. Water well in dry weather and feed weekly when in flower.

Best grown as a HHA - Half hardy annual. Compact plants covered with tiny flowers throughout the summer, usually grown as edging for beds and borders, often with alyssum.

  • Lobelia (Lobelia erinus compacta)
  • Half-Hardy Annual
  • Sowing Months: January, February, March, April
  • Flowering Period: July onwards
