Hollyhock, Halo White Seeds (Alcea Rosea) Flower Seeds
Hollyhock Halo White is a large, beautiful bright white single flowers with an attractive bright yellow 'halo' in the centre of each bloom with plenty of eye-catching flowers on each spike to add dramatic height to your borders in late summer.

Sow late winter to mid summer on to a good quality moist seed sowing compost Cover well with 5mm of vermiculite.
Place and seal inside a polythene bag or propagator and maintain a temp of 18 to 20 C
Germination should take place after 7 to 21 days.
Plug sowing is by far the best option, as Hollyhock does not like the root disturbance of pricking out and can be susceptible to damping off.
Grow on the seedlings in a lightly shaded area until they are established and fill the tray. Pot on in late August - September in to 1 litre pots or put 3 plugs in to 2 or 3 litre pots. Over winter in a well ventilated unheated glasshouse or tunnel for planting out the following spring.
Suitable for the vegetable garden, allotments and containers
Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
