We are offering Three (3) Shirley Tomato plug plants ready for potting on and growing on in frost free greenhouse or on sunny windowsill ready for planting out as soon as last frosts have passed
Tomato 'Shirley' remains one of the most popular varieties for cultivating in cold or slightly heated greenhouses. This early maturing tomato has become an exhibitor's favourite for its heavy crops of excellent quality fruit. Tomato 'Shirley' also shows excellent disease resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus, Cladosporium ABC and Fusarium. With an open, indeterminate habit, this variety is best grown in growbags as a greenhouse cordon. Height: 200cm (79"). Spread: 50cm (20").
Tomato Rosada is best for the greenhouse, but will grow in a sunny spot outdoors. Abundant crops throughout the summer.
Fruit: red, cherry plum, 12-16 grams.
Transplant plug plants as soon as they arrive taking care when handling them potting into 7.5cm (3in) pots.
Plant in the greenhouse in individual large pots, or 3 plants per growbag when 20cm (8in) high.
Can be planted outdoors, 45cm (18in) apart once all frost risk has passed
Suitable for the vegetable garden, allotments and containers.
Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
