The legendary fragrant sweet violets. They feature dark green, heart shaped leaves and exceptionally fragrant, short spurred spring flowers. Sweet violets grow to 6-10 inches tall and spread by runners at a moderate rate.

Sowing Instructions: SWEET VIOLET Seeds
Chill seeds before sowing. Cover lightly with compost. Sow in late autumn, late winter or late spring. Place outside in cold frame until germination takes place.

Sowing Instructions: All year round, but March to early May or August to September give best results. Sow seeds in a good quality multi-purpose compost either in a greenhouse, cold frame or outside. Germination can take from 10 days to 3 months depending on temperature. When large enough to handle, prick out the seedlings into individual pots. Plant out into final position from late spring onwards. Planting in autumn will produce slightly earlier flowering than a spring sowing.

Suitable for the Garden, vegetable garden, allotments, borders and containers.

Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
